M42 quick re-edit

Posted by AstroTanja on 13 Feb 2014 / 1 Comment

m42_LRedited_sml2I recently did a blog about acquiring and processing M42, “Processing the star factory”.

Revisiting my image, as one does when it’s cloudy for months…. I realise that there is more data buried in the image. I fear over processing, and I hate adding noise to images. My approach is always a little reserved and somewhat natural.

Below (B) is a re-process, simply adjusting the image in LightRoom:

I am loving your article in the August 2014 issue of Astronomy magazine. Directed to your web site which I also love. The pics of the Orion Nebula are outstanding to say the least. Would love an email from my newest and most beautiful astrophotographer in the land. Will check your web site for updates of new pics and comments from you, thank you Tanja, have a nice day!!! p.s. the Orion constellation is my very favorite group of stars except M 45, the Seven Sisters, the Pleiades.
